What does it mean "automatic Pagination"? To paginate a catalog with hundreds or thousand of articles is complex: it requires a lot of work both from who paginates, from the customer who must furnish assistance and it demands a lot of time in the verification of the data inserted in the paginate. With the automatic pagination, all the data are furnished by the customer on a database (a sheet such as Excel or other systems). Katalog interfaces these data to a program and therefore they are paginated in the graphic layout that has been accepted from the customer. The system creates an exact correspondence between the data and the photos to insert and therefore the possibilities of error are very remote. Moreover the times of realization are reduced to few hours and not more to weeks or months. The advantages, as saved time, less stress, safety on the congruity of the paginated data and very inferior costs are evident.

Is Katalog a software? Katalog is not a software but an automatic pagination catalog system. We realize and use different procedures, softwares and systems, because the demands of our customers are various.

Is it necessary to own a business database with the technical and commercial information of the data to insert in the catalog? No. In connection to the specific customers’ demands, Katalog can realize a personalized database on which the single customer can insert and manage all the necessary data to the publication in an autonomous way.

For example, codes and descriptions of an article are already on the business database, as the price information and the product variations can be inserted in an integrative database that Katalog built purposely.

If we compile a database supplied by Katalog, can we use again the information to integrate the own business database? Obviously, you can. The data of the database created purposely by Katalog can be always used again. Once realized the database, it has to be only integrated with new articles during the time so that in the future editions of the catalog it is already ready to export the data to paginate.

Does the exchange of the business data for the automatic pagination require notable costs? Absolutely no. The business data are transferred to Katalog or by e-mail or by ftp because Katalog has its server for the data download and transmission.

Who does print the graphic file? Katalog doesn't provide for the press as we are not a typography, but also this service can optionally be included or recommended, otherwise your firm can address to a trustworthy typography. Katalog is mainly interested in the graphic project and in the the catalog pagination. The press is the next phase.

What type of file does Katalog produce? Normally the result of the pagination is a file in pdf produced in high quality, adapted for the typographic press.
